Many patients and families who experience trauma, injury, disease, or pain are confronted with the abrupt decision of where to receive treatment. It seems natural that many consider out-of-state care to be somehow superior. But since 1970, this coveted, world-class care comes from physicians right here in Indianapolis. The healthcare professionals of Indianapolis Neurosurgical Group (ING) have been actively changing lives and the field of neurosurgery for close to 40 years.

All neurosurgeons are considered specialists, with a concentration on surgery of the brain, spine, and nervous system. But few neurosurgeons possess the expertise to remove tumors located at the base of the skull, one of the most difficult and challenging surgeries to perform. And few surgeons can expertly handle complex spine cases, devastating injuries often suffered in car accidents and falls. But because ING is one of the largest and most progressive neurosurgical practices in the country, two or more ING physicians are uniquely qualified to handle even the most rare and complicated cases. Superspecialization, a unique model of care our founders helped to pioneer, involves specialized training, research, and/or considerable time and energy invested in a complex area of neurosurgery, including minimally invasive interventional neuroradiology and pain management.
